The elements that learner-centered instruction should contain what the students are interested in, their backgrounds and any experiences they may have about what is being discussed. A learner-centered activity for a class could be: the teacher would play a sound of a letter and a child would have to hunt for an item in the room that begins with that sound. The elements that knowledge-centered instructions should contain would be information to help the student learn. They should understand what they are learning. Two types of assessments that should be included in assessment-centered instructions are Summative and Formative Assessments. Community centeredness is important to student learning because it allows us to create a safe environment for everyone. When you are in a safe environment you are more comfortable, which can allow you to learn with ease. I worked with young children and when their environment is friendly and safe they open up to you. If they have an open mind then you can fill it with knowledge. I think you can do evaulate your instruction at anytime and it would be beneficial to do it on a regular basis. You can ask your students or peers for their suggestions.
I really enjoyed reading your blog. You came up with some really good answers to the assessment questions. I could also tell that you did your research. It took me a while to find the questions and the answers. I think that you came up with a great activity for a learner-centered activity.
